 Wake Keeping of Mrs Adeline NweneIt was a memorable night on Saturday, July 16 when all gathered in Carson, California to celebrate the life of Mrs. Adeline Nwene. |  The Nwene family from Nibo, Akwa South Local Government, Anambra State was in great joy because their beloved Mother, Grand Mother and Great Grand Mother lived a long fulfilled life. |

 2015 Ankara Festival Los AngelesThe 2015 Ankara African Fashion and Music festival was on September 12, 2015. The 6th annual showcase was held at The Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles, California and hosted by 'ever young and beautiful' Stella Damasus and Duain Richmond also known as FELA. |  This year's event was quite different from last year's. The models were so much fun. With bold black and gold artistic makeup, they walked the runway, danced a little bit to African songs and also did some choreographed fashion moves which made the clothes look even more stylish. Stella Damasus and Duain Richmond did a great job. Thumbs up! |

 The ENAW 2015 Convention Los AngelesThe Edo Association of Southern California Inc. also known as NEDOYE, 2015 convention is offically over. The three-day event which started on Friday September 4th and ended on Sunday the 6th, was held at the Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel in California. In the photo, from the right: Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomole, wife, Lara, Mon's Pick & Nonye. |  As usual, the Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomole was present on Saturday which was also the day of the Gala night. What was even more interesting about his presence, was his beautiful wife, Lara. It was her first time to attend the annual convention and she was received with warm hands by her people. |

As a worldwide event, there was provision for an 'Oba Market' similar to the famous one in Benin City, Edo State. Having this luxury marketplace, gave the guests the opportunity to shop for anything they wanted from Nigeria. |

 Mon's Pick and her Boo. |  And then, they saved the best for last, I would say when lengendary singer Osayomore Joseph and his crew took to the stage and wowed the crowd. At the mention of his name, the entire audience screamed and ran to the dance floor. Oh boy! He still gat it! Those old school songs brought back lots of memories. It was history in the making. Last time I saw Osayomore, I was probably 8 years old. So, seeing him was a big deal to me. |

 Billboard Music Awards 2015 WinnersThe 2015 Billborads Music Awards which took place on Sunday night, May 17, was aired live on ABC from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Hosts Ludacris and Christine Tiegen looked amazing on stage. We must commend Tiegen for being a beautiful co-host. When we first heard she was going to be anchoring the show with Ludacris, we were kind of surprised. But, she did great! When it comes to the question, "Who dominated the entire night?," we would definitely say Taylor Swift did. |  As a matter of fact, she owned the awards and she deserved it! There is something about Taylor that is so sweet, you just can't help loving her and listening to her songs over and over again. As the lead nominee with 14 nominations, she ended up nabbing the most trophies of the night. Taking home as many as 8 awards including top artist, top Billboard 200 artist, top Hot 100 artist and top streaming song. |

 English singer and songwriter, Sam Smith, who recently underwent a vocal surgery which made him skip this memorable event, was the second biggest winner. He racked a total of 13 nominations, winning 3 awards including top artist. His way of participating in the awesome event was by making a video message in which he expressed his gratitude with the aid of cue cards. |  Australian female rapper, Iggy Azalea who performed 'Pretty Girls'' with Britney Spears for the very first time at the Billboard's awards, won a total of 3 awards in the following categories: top Streaming Artist, top Rap Artist and top Rap Song featuring Charli XCX, "Fancy". With the likes of DJINEE, Slow Dod and Omega-inspired gracing the stage and setting the audience ablaze. This was very important because the beauty pageant itself was a stiff competition. |

 Happy Halloween!!!Today has been a fun filled day for the kids in America including the young at heart (adults). Almost all the schools in the United States had their halloween parade today, which is an avenue for students and staff of the school to showcase their fun and creative side by wearing 'fancy' costumes. |  The world was blessed today with thousands of Super Heroes, Divas, Nerds, Angels, etc. While some costumes were very creative and appealing, some costumes were very dramatic and scary. I wondered what those kids were thinking in their minds? Lol!!! But, they all looked amazing and happy. |

 The Halloween parade is something that everyone look forward to and it's always a great experience, almost like what you would see at Disney . |  The good thing about Halloween is that it makes people especially kids happy. Children get to decide the character they want to be and then shop for the exact costume worn by that character. They also get to go trick or treating during the night under the supervision of an adult- who is normally standing about 15-25 feet away from the kids. Have a wickedly spooky Friday!!! Welcoming them, Igwe Anugwu praised ABS for the initiative and pledged his full support to the organisation. |  The Igwe who is also the Chairman of Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, Director of Sab Miller Intafact Beverages PLC (brewers of Hero beer etc) and Director of several companies promised to award scholarships to the final Top 7 contestants. It was a memorable event with a huge turnout just like last year's. |  There were many entertainers on the stage 'doing their thing' such as dancing, rapping and singing. But, Nigerian artist, Harry Song who came all the way from Nigeria, wowed the audience with his hit songs; 'Mandela', 'Beta Pikin','Kolombo and 'Fine Girl.' |

 Nedoye's 2014 Picnic In CerritosAgain, our ladies have made us proud, collaboratively organizing and hosting one of the most memorable Nedoye Annual Picnic this year at the famed County of Los Angeles Park in the city of Cerritos. There were lost of feasting, games, activities including racing (100meters dash race) by age groups. The youths had their saddle bag races from toddlers to college age. Medals were awarded to top two places. |  The event took place at the famous Lake-view location with water falls overlooking the setting. BBQ prime ribs, chicken, meat pie, curry chicken, salad, hot dog, cake, hot wings, fried fish, cool aid drink, brownies, chips, salsa, artichoke spinach dip, goat meat, fried, jallof, white rice with stew, beef links were among the many specialties meticulously catered with love by our members were served. The kids had so much fun playing with toys, making new friends and running around. |

 BET Awards 2014 Red CarpetThe 2014 BET Awards was held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on June 29, 2014 and Chris Rock was unveiled as the host of the event. One of my favorite segments of the show is the red carpet because you never know who you will see and the outfits are always something to keep you captivated. I noticed that this year's red carpet was dominated by celebrities in white outfits? My initial thought was that it was the "dress code" for the event. Lol!!! |  That would have been a nice concept though, but I still love the fact that there was a mix of colors to boost that glamorous effect. It was amazing to see Nigerian songstress, Tiwa Savage, Wiz Kid, American artist John Legend and actress, Gabriel, to mention a few that was looking lovely as they took that walk of pride on the red carpet.
