Katriel Nwene To Participate As A State Finalist In The National American Miss (NAM) California
Miss Katriel Nwene, 7, has been chosen as a State Finalist in the 2014 National American Miss California Pageant - under the category of Miss California Junior Pre- Teen Pageant - to be held on July 31, 2014 through August 02, 2014 at the beautiful Hilton Orange County, California, U.S.A.
The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 cash award, the official crown and banner, a bouquet of roses, and air transportation to compete in the national pageant at Disneyland in California. Pageants are held for girls ages four to eighteen, in five age groups.
The National America Miss pageants are dedicated to celebrating America's greatness and encouraging its future leaders. Each year, the pageant awards thousands in schloarships and prizes to recognize and assist in the development of young women nationwide. All activities are age-appropriate and family-oriented.

The National America Miss pageants are for "Today's Girl" and "Tomorrow's Leaders." The pageant program is based on inner beauty, as well as poise and presentation, and offers an "All-American spirit of fun for the family and friends." Emphasis is placed on the importance of gaining self-confidence, learning new skills, learning good attitudes about competition, and setting and achieving personal goals. The pageant seeks to recognize the accomplishements of each girl to set goals for the future.
Miss Nwene's activities include arts and crafts, taking beautiful pictures with her mum, camping, going to the Library to borrow books and swimming.
She also enjoys playing with her younger brother and her friends, she loves going to the movies, reading, loves fashion, like helping with the dishes, enjoys making rainbow cakes as well as making African snack called "Chin Chin".
