Nigerian Teenager Murders Younger Brother and Beats Mum Into A Coma
18-year-old Charles Okonkwo Jr. of Long Island, New York, has been arrested for killing his 15-year-old, younger brother, Bradley Okonkwo and brutally beating his mother into a coma.
According to Daily Mail, Charles who has allegedly had a history of pyschiatric disorders, has been charged with assault on his mother, but yet to be chrage for the murder of his brother because medical examiners are still investigating the cause of his death.
Mrs. Okwokwo, a medical doctor in Brooklyn, who has received the Congressional Leadership Award and runs Hope Outreach Foundation, a nonprofit organization that promote public health in Brooklyn and across the world, is reportedly in a critical condition due to severe facial fractures and brain swelling from the attack.
Charles’ father who was the first eyewitness of the terrifying incident, had just returned from a hospital visit on Saturday, when he discovered Bradley's body in his bedroom. He then found his wife on the garage floor, laying down unconscious, in a pool of her own blood.
Okonkwo Jr. confirmed to "hurting" his mother and brother.
A close friend to the Okonkwos, Lawrence Monwe, said: "This is very tragic. No one saw it coming…This was the perfect family you wouldn’t expect it to happen to.”
