VH1's Reality Star Ahmad Givens Dead After Battle With Cancer
Ahmad Givens a.ka. Real of VH1's 'Real Chance of Love' has died. The 33-year-old reality star who was also a member of the rap group, Stallionaires was diagnosed with a stage-four cancer in 2013.
Real's younger brother, Chance who was also on the VH1 show, informed TMZ about his brother's passing on Friday.
The site also states that Real who has been bedridden since January, had some problems with his vision and speech on Friday, Feburary 20. A few hours later, he succumbed to the illness.
According to TMZ, Givens had an operation to remove cancerous growths from his colon in December 2013. While in surgery, doctors removed most of his liver after they found seven tumors.
His family was very supportive throughout the whole process. They even set up website to raise funds for his treatment.
Givens became popular after appearing as a contestant on Tiffany Pollard‘s I Love New York and then later for the brotherly spinoff, Real Chance of Love with his brother Kamal "Chance" Givens from 2008 to 2009, and Real & Chance: The Legend Hunters in 2010.
