Idris Elba In Nigeria For The Premiere of Beasts of No Nation

Hollywood actor Idris Elba was in Nigeria last week for the premiere of the highly acclaimed movie, Beasts of No Nation.
According to reports, the event took place on Friday at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
Named after FELA's ablum, Beasts of No Nation is about a young boy called Agu (Abraham Attah) and his struggle for survival as his country goes through a horrific war. An African war feature film adaptation of the well celebrated 2005 novel written by Uzodinma Iweala, son of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Nigerian former coordinating minister of the Economy.
Directed by Cary Fukunaga, the movie was shot in Ghana and stars Idris Elba as the lead actor. Also at the event was child actor co-star Abraham Attah.
Popular faces at the event were, In attendance at the premiere were celebrities like D’banj, Genevieve Nnaji, Gbenro and Osas Ajibade, Juliet Ibrahim as well as former Finance minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, her husband, Ikemba Iweala, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce and others.
