Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg Visits Nigeria
Mark Zuckerberg founder of Facebook is currently in Nigeria having one of the moments of his life! This is also his first visit to Sub-Sahara Africa.
Zuckerberg, 32, arrived Lagos, Nigeria unannounced on Tuesday and as soon as he made his presence known, the people have been going crazy with joy! Facebook has been a blessing to everyone, making it easy for people to communicate and video chat. Little wonder, the people of Nigeria welcomed him with such opened arms. They don't want him to leave.
In a conference, the young tech entrepreneur stated that he chose to visit Nigeria first "because of the vibrant developers and entrepreneurial ecosystem" in the country.
He also visited a local innovation center and tech hub called Co-Creation Hub (CcHUB) located in Yaba, Lagos. Ironically, the most of the people working at the Center did not know Zuckberg was coming.
Zuckberg seems to know so muuch about the country and he felt very much at home, walking on the streets of Lagos as though he lived there. So humble and we don't even see any security around him.
We are so proud he visited the country and this gesture will definitely place Nigeria's tech businesses firmly in the world's spotlight.
Check out some of his photos and video of this surprise visit:
