A Look at the Obama's New Home in Washington DC
Take a sneak peek at the Obama's post-White House Mansion. The property has plenty of outdoor space for entertaining and it is located in a famous neighborhood. According to reports, this 8,200-square-foot house in the Kalorama neighborhood in Washington, D.C is worth over $4million.
The house was built in 1928 and it has nine bedrooms and nine baths. Ghosts of DC website reports that it was first listed at $50,000 back in the day; the last sale went to ex-White House Press Secretary Joe Lockhart, who still owns the property, for $5.3 million.
The President and his family including their dogs (Bo and Sunny) will be leasing this gorgeous property for $22,000 per month.
"We're going to have to stay a couple of years in D.C. probably so Sasha can finish," Obama told CNN in March about his youngest daughter. "Transferring someone in the middle of high school? Tough."
